You can expect to make better decisions, be more accountable, identify and implement change, achieve outstanding results—and become the leader people are looking for with the 1on1 program by ResultsWise.
Many executives find great benefit in having an experienced, knowledgeable, understanding person with whom to discuss ideas and options. This person has no vested interest and maintains strict confidentiality. Jeff Bell, developer of the CoachWise methodology, is such a person and he challenges and extends the leader, while being supportive.
Jeff has delivered about 2500 leadership coaching sessions over the past 20 years—his clients own and run businesses that turn over between $1million and $4billion, have from 3 to 3500 staff and span every industry sector. They uniformly report a lift in their leadership capabilities as a result of coaching.
Why leadership?
The chief purpose of coaching is to help you as a leader create a wider range of options so that you can make better choices and therefore, better decisions. These are major contributors to better leadership.
This is how we believe it works: in our own heads we may be able to devise reasonable options—especially when we are relaxed and reflective. If we are stressed, hurried, irritated or angry however, we are bound to have a far narrower view of the world—and how often is this the reality for any of us? Yet we make many important decisions under these circumstances.
In the CoachWise program, when you explain to an attentive and reflective listener with acute questioning skills, more options arise. When these options are written down, you think of more possibilities. A momentum develops and other possibilities arise–new goals and aspirations are generated. This new way of being builds with successive conversations between you and your coach.
The coaching conversation helps you as a leader to:
- Become aware of your own thought processes.
- Distinguish between logic and emotion (helping you to use both—consciously and to advantage).
- Discover facts and your own feelings.
- Evaluate your possibilities.
- Developing an action plan.
- Be held to account
Each of these is also a major contributor to better leadership.
